Founder's Story

Some dreams stay with you quietly for years.

Mine began with a deep love for Indian crafts, beautiful textiles, and handcrafted treasures. Ever since I was young, I found myself drawn to artisan markets, handwoven fabrics, paintings, and the stories behind every handmade creation. I've always believed that the beauty of a handcrafted piece lies not just in how it looks, but in the hands and heritage behind it.

My career took me through the corporate world and later into teaching, where I spent many fulfilling years. But somewhere in my heart was a dream to create something of my own. Something meaningful. Something that reflected my values and my love for timeless craftsmanship.

That dream became Soul Sootra.

I wanted to build more than a clothing brand. I wanted to create a space where women could discover elegant, comfortable clothing made from pure fabrics, while also celebrating the incredible skill of India's artisans. As the journey evolved, handcrafted home décor became a natural extension of this vision, another way to preserve traditional crafts and support the talented artisans who keep them alive.
